Embark on a scenic Western wagon ride through Spruce Woods Provincial Park visiting Manitoba's Spirit Sands desert and the Devils Punch Bowl.
About the Wagon Ride
2026 marks our 30th season in Spruce Woods Provincial Park with the Robinson family giving wagon rides. Three decades of horses, history, hard work, and welcoming folks from near and far — and we’re proud to carry on the tradition. From the early days to today, it’s been about family, community, and sharing the beauty of the Spirit Sands.
Enjoy a horse drawn interpretive wagon ride while enjoy the beauty of the natural landscape of Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
Hour and half round trip with 2 stops
Experience the breath taking wilderness like the ol' west on a wagon ride and learn the history of the park and facts about the land. Two 15 minute stops happen at the Spirit Sands and Devils Punchbowl so you can take a closer look.
Covered wagons to protect from sun and rain.
The wagons seat up to 20 adults and have the classic bus style seating. The horse teams include Belgium and Percherons and will lead 3 wagons.
Pet Friendly
Pets are welcome but must be leashed and comfortable around people and horses.
Accessibility
The is assistance available at all times. There are six steps to get into the wagon. If there are mobility issues, arrangements can be made to get dropped off at the wagon to limit distance needed to walk.

- Travel west on Highway 1, turn south on P.T.H. 5 for 29 kilometres.
